As a User I want to follow a campaign so that I can get updates on what interests me directly in my email and on my Activist Dashboard

"Follow a campaign" – Refined Scenario

 

SCREEN 1: Content

Given I'm reading an interesting content on a Tag page (e.g. a campaign)

And I would like to receive related content about that topic in the future in my email and on my dashboard

Then I see a "Follow" button

When I click on the CTA button

 

SCREEN 2a: Content

Given I'm a logged-in user user

Then a dialog message appears on top of the page confirming I'm successfully following that campaign/tag

And I see info about what to expect from 'following' (amount and frequency of emails and that I may also cancel or modify my subscription at any time)

When I click on the "Close the dialog X" on the top right corner of the dialog box

Then the dialog closes so I see the Issue page clearly

And the "Follow" button changes to "Following"

And gets a secondary color treatment

SCREEN 2b: Log in/Sign up Modal

Given I'm an already registered but non-logged-in user

Then the Log in/Sign up modal pops up on top of the page that I was

And I'm prompted to login (as default)

When I go through the log-in process

And I click on the log in button

Then the modal box closes automatically

 

SCREEN 3: Campaign/Tag Page

And the Issue page I was in originally resurfaces

And I read a dismissable dialog message confirming I'm successfully following that Issue

And I see info about what to expect from 'following' (amount and frequency of emails and that I may also cancel or modify my subscription at any time)

And the "Follow" button changes to "Following"

And gets a secondary color treatment

SCREEN 2c: Log in/Sign up Modal

Given I'm a novice non-logged-in user

Then the Log in/Sign up modal pops up on top of the page that I was

And I'm prompted to login (as default)

Then I need to create my account first

When I click on the Sign Up tab or "I don't have an account yet" link on the modal

And I go through the sign up process (SCREEN: 2 and 3)

 

SCREEN 3: Email Inbox

When I click on the confirmation link

Then I'm taken to the Issue page I was originally in  (if it is still opened: switch to tab and page is refreshed; if page has been closed: than it's opened in a new tab)

 

SCREEN 4: Campaign Page

And I read a dismissable dialog message confirming I'm successfully following that Campaign

And I see info about what to expect from 'following' (amount and frequency of emails and that I may also cancel or modify my subscription at any time)

And the "Follow" button changes to "Following"

And gets a secondary color treatment
