As a follow-up on the idea https://planet4.greenpeace.org/idea/browser-p4-push-notifications/ - and after the investigation on the plugin https://onesignal.com/ (PLANET-5287) - which allows browser notifications, we should start wondering whether this functioanlity could connect to "Challenges" first and to "Follow feature" second.

This feature would allow admins of P4 sites to send notifications based on specific triggers to users who have accepted the notifications in their browsers ("would you like to receive notifications" ).

This task should be done only after PLANET-5287 positive outcomes that the plugin does what we need, and it is aimed to insert it within the "Challenges" journey, enablkig for example "A new challenge is available for you" browser notification

Task outcomes should include:

• full functionality matrix and how it connects to the "Challenges" user flow
• Same as above for "Follow" feature
• Design recommendations in case the out of the box notification should not suit our purposed / brand (and of course follow-up tickets to create them)
• recommendations on user journey related to the challenges
• a follow-up ticket with testing scenarios, ideally in one of the P4 standard demo sites and in one NRO custom child theme (e.g. Switzerland since the original idea is by stduerre?
