Summary
Since WordPress 6.8 it should be possible to skip using PHP functions to load translation domains, and just use headers instead. Could be nice to simplify our code!
"If your plugin/theme provides the Text Domain and Domain Path headers and requires WordPress 6.8 or higher: you don’t need to use load*textdomain()"
