      Summary

      Following up from PLANET-7706, we shouldn't reload the page for switching layout. This should happen dynamically like it used to.

      We should explore alternative ways of preserving that setting when applying filters.

      Requirements

      • Switch to the css class solution we had
      • Investigate local storage or session storage as a way to preserve user's choice in the same browser
      • Preserve user's choice across all listing pages
