Summary
The media archive within the editor will largely follow the same behaviour as seen in the main panel view of the media archive. However, this will be a more basic version as it will not have a multiple search/bulk upload option.
Requirements
- A link to 'Media Archive' should be added in any popup where users can currently add an image (image, gallery, etc.). For example, in the image block popup, users have the option to click on: upload, media library, insert from URL. So 'Media Archive' should be added there.
- If an image has not been added to the media library, the user will have the option to click on a button to 'Import to Library & Post' (if on a post) or 'Import to Library & Page' (if on a page).
- If a user has already added this image to the media library in the past, the button will instead say 'Add Image to Post' (if on a post) or 'Add Image to Page' (if on a page).
- In all cases where the user is adding just one image, the popup will close after the user selects the button and the system has processed it.
- In the specific case where a user is adding multi-images (such as gallery), the hover state that would typically say 'Added to Media Library' will change to 'Added to Media Library & Post' or 'Added to Media Library & Page' so that users know this has already been selected and they can continue selecting the rest of their images. See wireframes, Editor View (Importing Flow) beyond the 'Note' frame to see exactly what is meant by this.
