Sprint #202
Summary
Investigate the core Query loop block to assess whether or not we should transition to this block to replace the P4 Articles block.
Requirements
- Assess whether we could replicate the same current features of the Covers block with the Query loop block:
- Users should be able to choose between different styles (Action or Content)
- Should pull automatically the latest Actions (from the Take action and new Action pages)
- Should show by default 3 actions and offer the option to set the number of rows shown (Grid view only) for the Action covers.
- Should show by default 4 Posts and offer the option to set the number of rows displayed (Grid view only) for the Content covers.
- Users should be able to choose between a Carousel and a Grid view.
- Users should be able to select Tags or/and Post types and Pages to show specific Actions and Posts.
- Assess whether we could replicate the same current and future UI of the Action Covers block with the Query loop block:
- Have the same current layout and metadata information shown (image, title, description, Post type, Tag or Category, CTA button.
- Display a carousel (with arrows and the page controller) or a grid view.
- Show a "load more" button (grid view).
- See if we can use header and paragraph blocks that are native to WP.
