We can set up the Slack notifications POC for GPI to pilot it before assessing next steps. This POC was tested by ktolen and would in its current form provide a significant workflow improvement when to provide notifications and a better overview of author's submitted posts and edits to live posts.

If we add the plugin only for GPI, we can merge the code that handles the Slack integration, since that only runs on filters that are added by that plugin.

Tasks

• Add any 3rd-party plugin to GPI repo
• Review any 3rd-party plugin following our standard procedure.
• Add any configuration option required (eg. webhook url) under Planet 4 > Notifications
