The code we edit in our dev stack is currently in subfolders deep in persistence/app/public/wp-content/(themes|plugins)/*

What we are looking for:

• being able to reset the containers (including /persistence) without risking to delete code modifications
• having some choice in working folders location
  • parameterize mount directories might be sufficient (even /wp-content itself ?)
  • there are native ways to declare multiple theme directories in wp (see register_theme_directory) but not for plugins
• being able to use the same themes/plugins code in different environments (for example having 2 containers, one in wp55, one in wp56, and only one instance of custom code)
