The full width background image is currently at most 1200 pixels wide, which causes it to be pixelated on higher resolution screen.

However providing larger sizes would significantly increase bandwidth and it's not needed for the purpose of the image, we actually want it to be less sharp so that content over it stays readable.

Instead we could use a CSS blur filter here. Perhaps we could even use the blur filter on all screen sizes as an alternative to the skewed overlay.
