Campaigns
The transition from Campaign templates to Color themes would change how editors can change the styling of a campaign page. In the current Campaign templates version the customization would (mainly) happen by choosing a different campaign template from a dropdown. In the new Color theme version editors would be able to choose from pre-defined color palettes that would control the color of the global components of a page:
- Navigation bar (background color + logo)
- Footer (background color + icons, text & links)
- Primary buttons
- Secondary buttons
- Controls (e.g: checkboxes)
- Links
The Design team will define how each color theme would work for each component.
These customization options would only be available for a separate navigation experience, but not when editors pick the main navigation website experience.
When a new page is created, the theme picked by default is the Planet 4 main theme (see mockups).
This part needs confimation from mfatome but my understanding is that:
- Navigation bar color and Footer color is the same by default
- Primary button color and secondary button border color is the same by default (secondary button color takes the primary button color on hover)
- Controls and link text color are the same
