As a user I would like the ability to hide the title block from the user whilst still having the title in the system on Evergreen and Default templates. This functionality has been created for CPP blocks https://jira.greenpeace.org/browse/PLANET-3816 Please replicate.
User Story
As an editor, I want to have the option to hide the page title of a page
Why?
Currently, the Page title pushes the form further down in the page, this is bad UX, happening for example when using the EN form bloc: "Form on the Side" style, see example here >> https://release.k8s.p4.greenpeace.org/international/act/a-magnificent-journey/
Currently, editors solve this by not giving the page a title. This, however, is bad for SEO and for sharing buttons (Facebook picks up the title, for ex), so the ideal would be to have the option (maybe a checkbox?) to hide the title from the front end
TASKS:
- Add checkbox to hide title in the page editor fields
- When not displaying the title, the title is still saved in the page settings
- Update the Handbook - flag users to be careful when hiding title, because this title will still be stored in metadata - therefore shown when sharing pages externally, or in other views like search
- Keep existing pages with checkbox enabled by default
