UX work on the integration of P3 Archives into the Search page.

Here are some desktop & mobile mockups (in black & white to focus more on the function than on the look & feel) + scenarios suggestions below for archives in search results:

      • The first version would be a simple redirection to the archive-it search results empty page, as currently when we click on the archives footer link. This version could be implemented without Elastic Search. We just have to set a rule to display this kind of message => E.g: If there are 5 or less than 5 search results, we should display the archives message + deeplink. (this rule should be discussed with mcampbel because it's a product decision).
      • The second version probably needs Elastic Search. The design is the same as the 1st version but with a different CTA copy. Assumption => We should be able to redirect users towards archive-it search results page with results displayed based on the query entered by users previously. In this scenario, users don't have to enter their search query in archive-it again, so it doesn't break user experience.
      • The third version, which would be the ideal version, could integrate P3 archives results directly in the P4 search results page. If feasible, we should  keep the same design as P4 search results blocks without putting an archive label. We should also take the same Press Release, Publication, and Story pages P4 design templates, for a better user experience and consistency.

We can for sure do iteration on these 3 versions while Elastic search is still in development.
